Changing your edition does 3 things:

1. Displays the content most relevant to the selected region on the home page, Conversations Blog home, and Composites ChartBuilder.
2. Changes defaults for currency and space unit (e.g. square foot/meter) in ReportBuilder.
3. Shows the most relevant retailers in the initial Retailer menu

Keep in mind that all content is available no matter which edition you select, only what is displayed most prominently changes.
