Amazon and BMW announced that Amazon Alexa will be accessible in BMW and MINI vehicles starting in mid-2018. With Alexa, drivers can ask for directions, call a business, play music or Audible content, control their smart home, check the news, and more on the go, without downloading a separate app. These features build on the BMW Connected skill for Alexa that was introduced in 2016, helping users control their vehicle, including activating climate control and locking the doors, from any Alexa-enabled device.

Amazon Alexa will be integrated in all 2018 model year BMW and MINI vehicles from mid-2018 in the U.S., U.K., and Germany.
