Japan’s SoftBank Vision Fund has funded autonomous delivery startup Nuro to the tune of USD940 million in its latest billion-dollar funding round. The cash will help it expand delivery services, secure new partnerships and staff and build out its fleet of self-driving robots. The last-mile fulfilment vehicles have recently been deployed by US grocery giant Kroger, which is conducting a pilot in Arizona using the R1 autonomous vehicle.
