The online grocer FreshDirect is launching a new service which helps customers residing in parts of New York to get the products in less time during this coronavirus outbreak. Named as FreshDirect express, the service enables customers in Manhattan, Brooklyn and sections of Queens to order from a curated selection of products and have them delivered to their door within two hours. The express system is available on the FreshDirect app and on the website.
In addition to it, FreshDirect also significantly increased same-day and next-day delivery across New York City as well as suburban areas of New Jersey, Connecticut, and New York’s Westchester County and Long Island. Through the no fee service, FreshDirect also expanded contactless order pickup in high-demand areas of Hamptons, New Jersey, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C where customers can place orders online and have their groceries loaded directly into their vehicle’s open trunk or hatch.
