Walgreens Boots Alliance has announced an expansion of its strategic partnership with Microsoft and Adobe to launch an enhanced customer insight platform to deliver personalized digital experience pertaining to healthcare and shopping offerings. The partnership marks the second phase of digital transformation allowing the retailer to have a unified view of the customers. The new platform will combine previously disparate customer data sets and its current 100 million loyalty members enabling the retailer to meet its strategic initiative around mass personalization delivering the right offers and content to the right customer, in the right context, at the right time and through the right channels.
Microsoft’s Dynamics 360 will serve as retailer’s Customer Data Platform (CDP) providing 360-degree view of the customer and Adobe Customer Experience Management (CXM) will enable the company with end-to-end solution for analytics, content management, personalization, campaign orchestration and more. The retailer said that data privacy and security are fundamental design principles in the development of the technology.
