Vice President, Global Retail Insights and Operations
Sara drives global insights for Kantar Retail while managing insights team operations. Through both syndicated research and more customized consulting work, she addresses the diverse research questions and strategic needs of retailers, manufacturers, and agencies in the CPG community. Sara also has an extensive background in the wholesale club channel of trade and the Middle East retail environment. She is frequently cited in the national, international, and trade press, including Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, the NRF's STORES magazine, and Adweek. Sara earned an M.S. in applied communication research from Boston University and a B.A. in mass communication and journalism (media analysis and criticism) from Arizona State University. She maintains a strong professional and academic background in market research and consumer behavior. As a researcher, writer, and speaker, Sara looks forward to opening eyes and stimulating meaningful and effective change.
Chief Executive Officer, Kantar Retail Americas
As CEO of Kantar Retail Americas, John leads strategic development for the Americas business with responsibility for content, client, and product portfolio development. John has more than 20 years of consumer packaged goods experiences in customer development, sales strategy, brand management, shopper marketing, and category management. Before joining Kantar Retail, John held senior leadership roles at Keurig Green Mountain, Johnson & Johnson, Gillette, and Procter & Gamble. John received an MBA from Babson College and a B.S. in business administration from Northeastern University.
SVP, Client Development
Scott is Senior Vice President, Client Development and co-leads the Client Development team in the Americas. He brings a deep understanding of the CPG industry, with over 25 years’ experience in providing world class consumer and retailer insights to clients throughout the world. Scott joined Kantar Retail in 2008 from Market Tools Research, where he was VP of Sales. Prior to that, he served as SVP and GM at IRI. Scott also has extensive experience in the CPG industry, having spent over 17 years in increasingly senior roles in both Sales and Product Management for companies such as Campbell’s, Johnson & Johnson, and PepsiCo. Scott holds a BA in Economics from Colby College and an MBA from the University of Hartford. He has also been an Adjunct Professor of MBA-Marketing at both Boston College and Boston University.
Chief Financial Officer
Paul is the CFO of Kantar Retail Market Insights with the responsibility of leading the accounting and finance and planning teams of the organization. Paul is on the leadership team that develops the global strategy and helps develop the product portfolio and structure of the organization. Paul has over 10 years’ experience with the business and previously worked for Kellogg’s, Keebler and Fireman’s Fund in financial leadership roles. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Real Estate from Georgia Southern University. Paul is originally from Atlanta, Ga and now resides in the Boston area with his family.
Senior Vice President, Strategic Advisory Services
Jim leads Kantar Retail's custom and applied research solutions and facilitates training and planning for key clients around the globe. He works with Kantar Retail's analyst teams as well as thought leaders from WPP's sister companies to create and apply market assessment and growth strategies for CPG/FMCG clients and select retailers. Jim brings a strong background in benchmarking work and translating best practices into actionable insight for manufacturers, retailers, and activation agencies. He also creates skill-building and case-based training solutions to improve capabilities and planning effectiveness. Jim previously served as commercial manager and editor of Kantar Retail's online and print publications. His background includes product development and content syndication, classroom training, publishing, and database marketing. Before joining Kantar Retail, Jim worked for a research and marketing firm and a multinational business publisher. He has also served as an adjunct university instructor. Jim holds B.A. and M.A. degrees from Boston College.
Chief Insights Officer
As Chief Insights Officer for North America, Leon leads a team of retail analysts across U.S. channels and Canada. With nearly 25 years of experience in the consumer goods and retail industry, Leon spearheads Kantar Retail’s thought leadership on topics ranging from format evolution, go-to-market strategy and deployment, and merchandising best practices. Frequently cited in the national and trade press, Leon is also a sought-after speaker who has addressed the National Retail Federation, Food Marketing Institute, the National Association of Chain Drug Stores, the Center for Retail Excellence, and World Economic Conference.
Chief Product Strategy and Marketing Officer
Andrew leads product strategy and marketing for Kantar Retail’s global portfolio of market insights solutions, harnessing over 15 years of market research industry experience. Previously, Andrew was Chief Research Officer for Kantar Retail, leading the global team developing its world-class retail and shopper insights. Prior to Kantar Retail, Andrew worked at Forrester Research where he held several leadership roles. He served as Vice President of Asia Pacific based in Beijing; led Forrester’s global practices focused on eBusiness and channel strategy, interactive marketing, and consumer product strategy; and ran its consulting practice that served marketing and strategy professionals. Andrew received an MBA magna cum laude from Babson College and a B.A. from Hamilton College.
Howard Zimmerman is General Counsel with Kantar Retail Market Insights. Howard joined the business in November, 1997. His prior experience includes executive and legal roles with both biopharmaceutical start-ups and traditional manufacturing companies. Howard received his B.A. from Boston University and his JD from The George Washington University Law School.
SVP, Client Development
Joe is the Senior Vice President of Client Development, and is responsible for the development of our businesses at our key customers. As the co-lead for the Client Development Team within the KRAMI business, Joe also supports the broader KRA selling initiatives. Joe comes to KRMI from Johnson & Johnson where he was the Director of Customer Development for the CVS business, and was responsible for managing a $250MM consumer Healthcare portfolio against such brands as JOHNSON’S BABY, TYLENOL, ZYRTEC, BAND-AID, and VISINE to name a few. Joe has over 20 years of CPG experience and has held various roles/functions including: Customer Development, Sales Strategy, Category Management, and Sales Operations. Joe has also held leadership positions at both Procter & Gamble and The Gillette Company. Joe received both a BS in Marketing and an MBA from Boston College.
